CUSTOM WEB SITE DESIGN FEES START AT $1000

As your web site designer, I will discuss your needs with you and then offer a quote for the cost of the entire project. In this way you can be assured that you are receiving the custom designed web site that you desire.

BASIC COST

A basic site starts at $1,000. A basic site includes a unique custom design that is a perfect fit for your company's or organization's image. It includes the initial posting of all content. If you wish to have Flash content, the cost is more since Flash programming is very time consuming. Even though the cost is more if Flash is included in your design, the elegant effect of well designed Flash content is well worth the time and cost.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT

If your site content will change frequently, it may make sense for me to design your site with a content management system (CMS). A CMS is a system where the content of the site is dynamic and loaded from a database. The initial cost of a CMS driven web site is much higher because of the time it takes to develop a database to hold the data and the programming involved in creating data entry/maintenance scripts for you to maintain the data. But the ongoing cost is substantially less since you'll be able to maintain the content yourself and you can avoid ongoing maintenance fees.

YOU OWN YOUR WEBSITE AND YOUR DOMAIN NAME

Once your web site is completed and online, you have full ownership and access to the site. Unlike many web design firms, I make sure that all web site and hosting records are in your name. Your web site belongs to you!

WEB SITE UPDATES

After the web site is completed and online, you have a choice of choosing a maintenance contract, or simply paying an hourly rate for any updates you request. You may also choose to do your own modifications. If I do content updates for you, they are billed at an hourly rate, with no minimum charge. Unlike many other website designers who bill you for minimum of an hour even if an update only takes a couple of minutes, I only bill you for the time it actually takes to perform the work. Depending on the amount of work involved, I can arrange billing on a monthly or quarterly basis. For most websites, routine updates do not amount to more than a couple hours each quarter.

ROUTINE FEES FOR MAINTAING A WEB SITE

In addition to design and construction fees, there are additional rates and costs from other companies (domain registration, hosting, etc.) for maintaining and your web site.
